Oscar attacking his reflection? Not eating right?

Lately my O’s been attacking his reflection, I’m worried that he’s going to get too stressed out and make himself sick. Is there something I can do to stop him from frizzing out so much?

Also, we bought frozen brine shrimp and he ate that fine, but we bought frozen bloodworms and he won’t eat them, he’s even stopped eating the pellets that he was eating before….is he just being picky?
He’s not a betta….he’s an Oscar.

If he’s a beta then it’s normal. And I think that he is just being picky.

My oscar attacks his reflection from time to time, it doesn’t cause any problem. Oscars are smart fish, this one has you trained to feed it the food it wants. Don’t feed it for 2 or 3 days, it will then eat most anything that hits the water.

Oscars are one of the more aggressive cichlids. Not unusual for them
    to attack a reflection.
It isn’t a good idea to feed your fish brine shrimp or worms in excess.
My thoughts are that your “O” is constipated.Don’t know what to do
    about that.
Also, check the temp. in the tank.I’ve found that they become more
aggressive & finicky when it begins to approach the 80 degree range.
Try feeding a good quality flake food such as Tetra-Min.
At the risk of sounding like a flake,I’ve had cichlids & bettas act like
spoiled children if they don’t get what they want to eat.
    Lottsa luck.

huppercupper suggested constipation and didn’t know what to do about it. Try feeding your oscar peas, usually that’s what is reccomended for fighting fishy constipation. And since oscars eat peas it’s certanly worth a try.

something tells me that he is just being picky, if he won’t eat the peas i would try “starving” him for two or three days.
