Bettas are carnivores so if you can afford this live brine shrimp, then acually this is a great protien packed food for him, he will be very happy. But if you dont want to keep buying those, i dont know what kind of floating food you are using now but just make sure it has protien, not plant ingredients. That may be a reason why hes not liking the other foods.
You can also try freeze dried bloodworms, they tend to be easy to get any fish to eat and come in conveniant freeze dried cubes.
If all else fails sounds like you have a spoiled fighting fish on your hands

if they’re freeze dried, no. it’s kind of like living off of potato chips. they’re a good treat bu pellets or live food should be the staple.
try this… don’t feed him for 2 days, on the 3rd day give him his food (not the brine shrimp). if he doesn’t eat i remove it before it sinks. keep trying everyday until he eats it. he will NOT starve, trust me. he will eat long before he starves. only give him the shrimp once or twice a week once he’s been eating regularly for a week or two.
good luck

do you have a heater for your Betta?

you know, funny as it sounds, it can make allllll the difference in a Betta’s disposition and appetite….
they are very tropical.
a chilly Betta is a stressed Betta!
Bettas are indeed very picky eaters…don’t worry, you are not alone in the quest of findig what your Betta loves best !!
Feed him the live brine, yes….whatever he will take, give him.
but have you tried:
freeze driend bloodworms
frozen bloodworms
daphnia
small insects on top of water
TINY bits of baby sun dried shrimp…tiny!!!
mosquito larvae
if not, try those…most Bettas LOVE bloodworms.
you can have a pellet or flake as a backup ofcourse…
but mix up the diet and try different foods.
it is GREAT that you are feeding him live brine!!! awesome!
that is wonderful…
Bettas are carnivoures and he appreciates it i am sure
If you do not have a heater, get one and get the temp to about 78 -82 degrees.
If you just got your Betta…they take a while to adjust.
My Betta Kyanite did not eat for almost 5 days when I got him.
I think in time you will find that he will come around….
you are on the right track so that is really good.
good luck with you and Mr. Betta.
The BEST fish with the BEST personality given the right environment.
much peace to you and your new BFF…
treat him well and he will provide you with hours of beauty, peace and amazment …
SUCH people friendly fish!!
let me know if there is any other circumstances that may seem odd.

Brine shrimp (as adults) are very poor nutritionally unless you’re feeding him a frozen variety that are enriched with spirulina.
It would be best to get him on to some other food as soon as possible. A good quality betta pellet (Hikari, mine also like Omega One) and frozen (not freeze dried) bloodworms, live mosquito larvae if you can collect these from a clean water source, or frozen daphnia would all be better for him.

um… what was his old food if it was flakes of pellets you are NOT going to get him/her to eat that you can try blood worms but if you can afford to feed nothing but brine shrimp then that will be fine
good luck=)
