Last year I bought a packet of brine shrimp eggs. (To feed freshwater fish) Now that I have a marine tank (65gallon with 4 percula clowns and small corals)(it’s fully matured so now i’m starting to add corals) Will brine shrimp lay eggs in the tank. Last time I fed my percula clowns brine shrimp was last week and last night after I turned off the light and looked into my tank with a small torch I could see some brine shrimp swimming around.
Will they breed themselves? Or is there anyway to promote breeding? I want them for the perculas and coral.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Sea monkeys can breed both sexually and asexually but i don’t know how they’ll do in a marine tank or any kind of tank with fish that are likely to eat them.

Brine shrimp actually carry their eggs. If they can survive in the water they will breed. Usually they get eaten by the fish enough that they are not noticeable but they can live in very salty water and with no real predators (fish no longer survive)become very common.
Brine shrimp are not very rapid breeders. The fresh eggs float.

Brine Shrimp will hatch in a reef tank…. However, they are not nutritious enough for your fish. Consider feding your fish frozen mysis shrimp. As far as what you saw at lights out, the “shrimp” that you saw swimming around were probably copepods and not shrimp at all. True Percula Clown can grow up to 8 cm what is approximately 3 inches. So 1 specimen requires at least 960cm2 of water surface what is approximately 148 square inch. We recommend you to keep it in fish tanks which are medium. (e) Medium aquariums have at least 113 Litres (30 US Gallons). Large aquariums have at least 265 Litres (70 US Gallons). Very large aquariums have at least 700 Litres (185 US Gallons).
It is not very difficult to keep the True Percula Clown fish. (e) The specific gravity (SG) should be between 1,020 and 1,025, the temperature between 23°C (73.4°F) and 26°C (78.8°F). The pH level should vary between 8.0 and 8.3 what is usual for marine fish.
For your coral I would reccomend feeding small amounts of frozen cyclopeze available at your local fish store. Happy reefing!!!!
