I live outside of North America, and where I’m living right now I don’t have easy access to baby brine shrimp. I bought the Hikari brand freeze-dried brine shrimp though, and I squish it between my fingers so that they’re powdery and I feed them to my platy fry. Is that good enough, or do I still need to feed live foods? I also feed them TetraMin baby. My fry are a week old and have grown visibly, but I don’t know if they’re on target or not.
Yeah, they do just fine on freeze dried brine shrimp. If you wanted to get them some live brine shrimp, theres lots of place online that will deliver them. They are sometimes listed under “Sea Monkeys”.

That should be good. Hikari is a good brand. You don’t need to feed them live foods but if you would like to you could try mosquito larvae. You put water in a bucket or bowl leave it outside for a couple of days, and you should see some wriggly things. Net them out and wash, then give them wriggly larvae to your fish.
YUMMY!!!
Gud luck!
