  1. Yes, it’s possible; they’re big enough to be quite visible. You’ll need something small to move them about.

  2. It is possible to count under a microscope, through the surveying techniques used to count the birds. (dividing the area as uniform shapes, say circles or rectangles, and then counting all creatures in one area, and then multiplying by the divisions).

If you have 10 circles to be covered, and in one area, there are 100 eggs, then on an average it is 10×100 = 1000 eggs in toto. This is a very sound technique to count the population.

Check out the site for brine shrimp egg photos. A nice one indeed.

  3. Yes. Use a compound scope though. There are counting grids made. So all you have to do is count the number per cell or grid. Then you can equate that to the volume and get a total number.

Yes it is possible, tedious as well. I would use a stereo microscope though, and make sure they are dry. If you have an analytical balance, you could just count about 50 of them and mass them, then mass all of the other ones. Then just use the mass value you got for the 50 and divide that into the total mass, then multiply by fifty. That seems alot easier than counting one by one. Make sure to zero out the holding container.
