You don’t need to feed them egg yolk.
Just stick with crushed flakes, and buy some bloodworms or specially powdered fry food at your local petstore. It’s good to mix up your fry’s diet, which I can’t do, because of allergies.
Hope this helps!
Good luck!

Try grounding a little bit of lettuce to about 3/4 of a tablespoon so the lettuce will become algae and the fry can eat that

boil the egg, take the round yellow yolk out, and give them VERY small bits. Not more than can cover half of the pink part of your pinkie nail at first, or more than they can totally eat in 5 minutes.
You can order brine shrimp eggs online.

Boil the egg, then take the yolk out. Put the yolk on a bowl or inside a new plastic bag from fruit stands. Mash the yolk and add a little bit of water. Don’t add to much water, you just want it to be like a thick cream. Get a clean toothpick and dip the tip. Then dip into the tank.
A little should be enough because they can’t eat a lot and the left over egg will rot badly. Feed them the egg 2 times a day in small proportions and feed crushed flake food 3 times a day. The egg gives a lot of protein to help them grow, and flake food has some veggies to help them digest. A mix diet is good.
