  2. I use a one liter bottle and add the eggs, after about 5-8 hours add the recommeded amount of salt. For a liter I believe it’s half a table spoon. Shake and then set under a light and wait for the egges to hatch. It’s easier to see them with the light once the are all hatched. Look like silver dots that jiggle.

  3. You can buy hatchery kits at some pet stores (or they can order one for you). I’ve never had any trouble getting these to hatch at a fairly good rate: http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_AquariumPage.aspx?PageAlias=fish_food_san_francisco_bay_brand_hatchery – you also need to purchace an airpump to use with the hatchery.

You can also just use a bowl (finally, a good purpose to use one!) or jar, air pump, airstone and tubing, sea salt mix (I prefer this to rock salt and baking soda), hydrometer (for mixing salt to the proper concentration) and a tube of brine shrimp eggs. See instructions: http://www.cichlid-forum.com/articles/diy_brineshrimp_hatchery.php

Or, you can buy frozen baby brine shrimp already packaged and divided into small cubes that you can thaw and put in the tank: http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/group/15311/product.web (really the most convenient option)
