Those are triops.

And those are brine shrimp.
Aquasaurs sounds like it should be triops. But both of them fit the description really. Triops start off clearish, but as they mature, their shell hardens and gets that color.

It sounds to me like you have Trios. Adult brine shrimp are about the size of a grain of rice whereas triops are around 2-3 inches. HTH.
