I bought frozen brine shrimp in capsules. I have a juvenile jack dempsey and firemouth. I’m hoping this food is a large step towards their growth.

we feed our fish a mixture of frozen foods and plankton but frozen brine shrimp i would say no more then 3-4X a week

i would recommend trying blood worms. the frozen brine shrimp is geared more towards small fish, and even fish fry. i feed my fish either frozen blood worms or frozen beef heart every night, but i always switch it up. both are good to for any bottem dwellers. just feed right before lights out, that way some will reach the bottom.

Brine shrimp in the fish world is called a candy laxative.
The fish love it and its healthy for there digestive systems but brine shrimp have almost zero nutritional value.
Twice a week tops or if you feed your fish every couple days then 1 meal a week is great for them.
You should also starve your fish a couple days once a month to clean out there digestive track.
Its keeps them super healthy.

If you are feeding brine shrimp they can have it every day. If you are feeding brine shrimp with no neutritional value, perhaps you should buy from another dealer. Brine should have between 10-20% protein and around.5 fats. The better quality the more the protein. What I feed is around 50%. I add this to their regular food as a treat every day.
