i have a large pearl veil tail angel fish-i just got it from a friend. it’s at the bottom panting for air.!!

please help- it will die today!! it obviously cannot breathe-
i just put live brine shrimp in there b/c i haven’t seen it eat-
my friend had it for like 10 yrs. and now that i have it it’s not doing good-
i have a heater, not too many plants but artificial, i feed them shrimp, it’s just him, 2 silver dollars, and a bala shark in a 75 gallon tank- what the hell is going on?

  4. I assume the tank has been set up and established and the other fish have been living there for a while? As long as the water parameters are all fine I’m not sure what else you can do.

10 years is probably the average lifespan of an angelfish, it may just be suffering from old age, and the stress of the move was the last straw?

Sorry that I’ve got no better ideas to help you out.
