  1. Take a paper coffee filter, rubber band it to the top of a cup. Squirt in the bbs, let it drain. Rinse it with a little water, let that drain, & you are good to go.

Dump the excess brine out of the cup when you are done, it can get real nasty if you let it sit. I've been doing it this way for years.

See if your mother/sister/girlfriend/female in the same household has any old panty hose they don't want anymore. You can cut the foot off of one pair and use the toe part as a net.

  4. I use a plastic turkey baster. Just suck up the shrimp into it and then squeeze it out into the tank. Being careful not to get the shells too. Shut your bubbler off and let it set a few minutes before doing this. If your eggs are well hatched the bottom of your hatcher will be full with shrimp to suck up in the baster. I sometimes have a shallow dish (a white one so I can see the shrimp against it or a clear one with a sheet of white paper under it) and squeeze them out into that and let them settle there again. That way I can see very good what are shells and what are shrimp. Also it helps to have a little table lamp of some kind setting on your work area because the shrimp are drawn to the light and this helps to see them moving. Hope this help you out some.

  5. hey BB guy, the coffee filter and the turkey baster work really well, but have you ever considered this?

If your at least a normal aquarist, you should know the gravity theory behind the siphon used to siphon your gravel
if you were a smart fella, like i bet you are, you COULD get an unused airline tube, and a jar half filled with fresh water.

So what you do is you is you put one end in the brine shrimp area, then suck on the other end. using the gravity or whatever, the water should begin to flow down into the jar. Using the other end, you can collect whatever amount of brine shrimp you want

obviously you need to keep the jar lower and other obvious things
