  2. brine shrimp eggs should hatch within a few hours of being placed in the aquarium… they are however so small when they first hatch (about .5 mm), you might not be able to see them for several weeks or months even. You may be looking at the remnants of the eggs that already hatched. Brine shrimp are a very surviveable species for aquariums, as they can survive in very cold or warm temperatures and various levels of salinity. Provided your saltwater tank is cycled over several months, and biologicallly stable, there shouldn’t be a problem…unless the eggs you bought were somehow killed either by extreme heat or getting dried out after being moistened initially.

  3. they will most likely not hatch well in pure salt water, they will hatch faster and better in brine water. They need to be kept at 80 degrees and lighted with constant circulation through the water and not filtration, just circulation with an air stone/bubbler. They need fast waterflow to exit thier casings.

They are so tiny you cant see them unless you look very closely and carefully. They are tiny white dots that twitch. They are, however, very hard to grow up to adult size. Huh…I remember as a kid I had a water monkey kit and they grew fine, but not now…I dont know what is up with those kits, but they work better that buying eggs inthose vials and trying to make them grow.

  4. You need the proper temperature. Salt water is not enough.
