  1. He/she has gotten really big.

When are you getting to release it in the adult tank?

  2. Yes he/she is.
I haven’t really thought about that yet. Maybe when it’s half an inch to an inch long?

  3. The camera must make it look bigger, because it look a half an inch already.
Do you have anymore zebra danio babies?

  4. Actually, it’s almost half an inch, but I want to wait a little to put him in there. My fish love eating fry.

  5. That’s how mines used to do. When I went to clean out my tank that had the adults in it after they all died, I found all kinds of fry. Hopefully, they’ll all live to start me a new generation of livebearers. Wish me luck! =]

  6. That’s really cool. I wish my livebearers had fry like that. Seriously, I am so tired of it. They only have fry every 6 months, and when that happens, it’s like a huge motherload from all of them. I get like, 100 fry. Then they don’t have fry for another 6 months. They always seem to have an internal parasite that I can’t get rid of.

  7. I’ve learned the trick to that is to get some medicated flakes and feed it to them twice a month even if they don’t have a parasite and it will help them not get them. Just mix it in with the normal flakes.

I think mines be stressed because they do the same thing. I’ve read in a few books that the mom won’t release fry if she thinks that they won’t have a good chance of surviving.

  8. Yeah, I have medicated food, and have used it, but it seems to become less effective every time I use it.

    That seems very true.

  9. I think you have to try different kinds or their bodies will become immune to it.

  11. No problem and thank you! I’ve actually only fed my fry brine shrimp a few times. It is really cool, especially w/ the zebra danio, because he likes sinking food, while my livebearers like floating food, so they don’t go for it as much.
