can sea monkeys live in the same tank as the fish?

I got some sea monkeys and there are a few of them in the small container that they come in.
I was thinking on purchasing a fish or two. nothing fancy…maybe just a goldfish or something like that, so then I started wondering if they could be put into the same tank or bowl.
would it be possible???

  1. NEVER put your sea monkeys in a tank with any kind of fish. NOt only will the fish eat your sea monkeys, but the sea monkeys will clog the fishes gills, causing a long slow painful death by suffocation.

  2. your fish would eat them also gold fish need a 15-20 gallon tank for one with 10 gallons more per fish as well as double filtration.

Edit: sea monkeys are a form of brine shrimp a commonly fed to fish live, frozen, or freeze dried.

  3. I doubt it, most “sea monkeys” are in reality brineshrimp or fairie shrimp, occassionally triops. Most fish consider them food, and indeed most fishkeepers buy “sea monkeys” by the thousand in frozen packs, labeled “brineshrimp” lol.
They are everyday food for fish, I wouldnt put them in if you want them to live.

..and yeah, dont be putting goldifsh in bowls either. Way too small for goldfish. Start with 30 gallons tanks for goldies and work your way up.

lol “sea monkeys” probably the biggest con ever.

  5. Sea monkeys are just large brine shrimp and are basically just fish food.

Even if you had a fish that didn’t eat them brine shrimp live in salty water and the majority of aquarium fish live in freshwater.

Well, except for saltwater fish of course.

  7. Its possible if you want to give your fish a tasty treat. or keep them in seperate ones and raise your own supply of fish food.

  8. No, they will either be eaten, killed by the filter, or killed by the cold, or killed by the lack of salinity.

Sea Monkeys are Brine Shrimp, hatched in saltwater. They will not survive to grow and mate or even for a few minutes in freshwater.

This is the same with Triops, they need purified bottled water, even an established tank would kill them.

  9. U can ,surely, ONLY if u want ur sea monkeys to be the fishes food! Yesterday i got my betta in a aquarium shop and they had about hundreds of brine shrimps in a plastic tube they are food for the fishes and not tank mates
