I started using lite single bubbles to avoid to much turbulence and seems as if this is all the O2 they need. Notice babies in the tank. I did not restock this tank with any other BBS so they must have had babies on their own. These guys are over 3 months old now I think. Looks like I have more females than males. These are adult brine shrimp artemia, not from a sea monkey kit.

  1. Do you need to change the water? How often and how do you do it?

rarely. I’ve only made 1 25% change last month and I replace only the water that evaporates. Use fresh water for that

not yet. I wanted to grown them out completely so I could tell how long the lived and also how they breed. I use the hatchery to grow babies for the fish they love them lil guys. Even my bigger fish will eat the babies. Babies that have their egg sack (within 24 hrs after hatching are more nutritious than adults. If you feed adults to your bigger fish them made sure the brine shrimp get a good feeding 2 hr’s or less before you feed them. This is called filling their guts for obvious reasons
