Sea monkey’s?

Has anybody tried to grow sea monkeys…? they are dried seeds type things in a packet but when you put them in to water they hatch and grown to about half a cm long… i bought them from toys ‘r’ us. they live for about 6 months if you keep them well and feed the, etc…. but what im wanting an answeer to is how does it come alive after sitting in a packet on shelf….?

  1. They are brine shrimp. They are eggs that stay dormant until they become hydrated.

  2. They are brine shrimp. The eggs are able to stay dormant for long periods of time. If the water they are in dries up in the wild the brine shrimp eggs will lay dormant until the water comes back.
    They’re not very fun. I had them when I was a kid. They make really good food for baby fish.

  3. Brine shrimp are normally found in deserts. The eggs stay dormant for up to ten years waiting for a rainfall.
