I’m delighted to see that a parent actually wants their child to use their imagination. Fortunately, there are lots of cool, educational toys out there for the kids that don’t have their thumbs glued to a game console. Smithsonian has a line of educational toys that includes a version of these growing crystals. It’s available at Walmart, as well as other places:

Sea-Monkeys (www.sea-monkeys.com) are still available at stores, too. Also, The Discovery Store (www.discoverystore.com or check your local malls) would be a great place to get toys for her!

I bought both of those along with potato gun for my 8 years old half brother for xmas yesterday
I got stuck with both of them when I was younger, so I’m gonna to make my half brother follow the tradition. When I have a child. I’ll do the same thing lol.
Also you may want to check out triops. It seems more exiciting than sea moneky.
