Betta Flaring At Background?

I just got my betta the other day, he is in a 10 gallon heated and filter tank with only an African Dwarf Frog and a snail. Thing is she keeps flaring and trying to fight by background. I have never seen this before could it be because the background has a lot of the same color as her (black and red)? Do I need to remove the background…I know it healthy for her to flare to a point but I also don’t want to stress her.

Also my African Dwarf Frog will not eat and none of my food sinks (and I have limited options on food because all I have where I live is walmart) would it be okay if I got sea monkeys and feed him them as long as I rinsed them in fresh water first, since all they are is brine shrimp. I could use a turkey baster to do it I just need food that sinks.

a baby african dwarf frog

i have a baby african dwarf frog… (the large old one just passed away, so i got a new one…) this baby is only about a cm long… he wont eat anything i try to feed him… ive tried freeze dried blood worms, freeze dried brine shrimp, and flake food, but he wont eat it. i cant get to the store for a couple of weeks to buy frozen blood worms or brine shrimp, what can i feed him..(will tiny peices of frozen meat work..) any ideas would be great!!! also, should i keep him alone in his one gallon tank all to himself, or put him into a large already slightly overcrowded tank? and one last question… how long does it usually take for them to get fully grown? (my old one was two inches, but i bought him when he was fully grown…) i just want my baby froggie to be happy!! thanx in advance for any help and/or advise!!

Help feeding african dwarf frog?

I bought my african dwarf frog about 4 months ago, and had him housed in a 2.5 gallon tank with a male betta fish, I have since then moved him into a 5 gallon tank along with 2 guppys and a dwarf gourami.Ever since I bought the little guy,I’ve had to suck up frozen blood worms throuh a turkey baster and slowly feed him because the other fish always eat it all first. Even with this method, the other fish get a lot of the worms and I am starting to get sick of doing this every 3 days.I’ve tried everything, including HBH frog and tadpole pellets, brine shrimp,Hikari carnivore pellets, and live food, but it seems that my frog doesn’t even try to hunt for the food as other people say.I’ve even tried grabbing a carnivore pellet and shoving it in his mouth, but it didn’t work, and the only way he eats is if i feed him through the turkey baster. I feed him at night as this is when they are most active, but it’s still very difficult,is his only my frog? And is there anything else I can do?

Feeding live Brine Shrimp?

I’m currently cycling an Eclipse 5 gallon corner fish tank (freshwater) housing a single juvenile Zebra Danio and an African Dwarf Frog. My equipment includes a bio-wheel filter, hood lamp, air stone, large gravel substrate and a 25-watt Top Fin heater that is currently set at low and produces a consistent water temp. of 77.5 degrees. (sorry if this was all useless info!)

Basically, I’m looking to diversify/enhance said Danio’s & ADF’s current diet of flake food and frozen blood worms. Preferably, I’d like to find a local pet store (Seattle area) that sells ready-to-feed live brine shrimp. Setting up a mini-hatchery in my tiny ass apartment seems like a hassle (let me know of any possible mis-conceptions I may have about this!), although if no better options present themselves, I’ll make it work.

Can anyone share their experience feeding live Brine Shrimp? How often/how much should I feed? How do I make sure the ADF gets his fair share of live Brine Shrimp?

Regards!
I’m sticking with a single Zebra Danio just until the tank has finished cycling.
