Hello again answers.com,
I’ve just put my new Betta into his new tank, after standing the water for 24 hours, making sure the PH is the same as his old water, and the temperature, etc, and when I released him into his new tank I took about an hour so that he could get used to the changes gradually. I assume he must be pretty healthy because before I moved him from his (er, holding tank?) other container he made a bubble nest for spawning, and was very energetic and alert. I fed him this morning (before moving him at all) and he spat out his Betta gold, so I assumed maybe he wasn’t fed that at the pet shop, so I went and got some freeze dried Brine shrimp because according to bettatalk.com that’s a very nutritious and safe food, but he doesn’t want any of that either, and now that he’s been in his new tank for a few hours he’s just chilling at the top of his tank not moving much.
Should I be worried? (He does move around a bit, just not a lot, and the temp. is 27-28C (80-82 F)
Oh, and I also added conditioning chemicals and such into the water yesterday. Thought I mentioned it. The tank is about 210 deep on a 140×100 rectangle.
