and uses the heat from the aquarium and the light to hatch the shrimp. It states it takes 24-36 hours (not sure if that time frame is with lights on 24 hours a day – which of course they are not as that would upset the fish).
It has been about 32 hours. (They are decapsulated) Doesn’t seem they have hatched, how can I know for sure?
Also, what the hell is the smell about????

i want to setup a brine shrimp hatchery but what salt do i use i accidently put in red sea Salt will it work or will they all just DIE?
And any info about the water? im planning an using dechlorinated water from tap or should i use rain water tank? and is their a waiting time e.g. waiting 4 water 2 dechlorinate and or waiting 4 salt to settle in or anything?
my cuzzin wants to keep some just 2 play with ive alrdy got food 4 them but looking after them…. do we put them into a jar with no airstone or do we have to have an airstone for them 2 live?

Okay, I’m getting a 40 gallon tank, It will have all the equipment needed for a 40 gallon, including a heater. What fish would you reccomend for this size of a tank. I would like to stay away from cichlids and any large plant eating fish. I want this to be a community tank with peaceful, non-aggressive. Also, I want areas of the tank covered, Top, Middle and bottom. Also, I don’t want any fish that won’t eat anything other than live foods, because I don’t really want to go through the hassle of all the breeding of them. Maybe I will start a brine shrimp hatchery and growout tank for them. But maybe not.

Oh yeah, this is going to be a tropical freshwater tank, forgot to mention this.
Soupnazi – I thought cichlids needed harder tank water than normal? Will other fish be able to handle this?

1.) it needs an air pump and i have a fish tank and its 55 gallons has a air pump that does up to 60 and has two holes on of them is empty so i pluged that onto it is that going to over airate the little two liter thing that there hatching in???
2.) how long does it take for them to hatch i did them last night at like 8:30 at night and its

3.) it says “not intended to grow to adult size” i dont plan to but why how does it stop them from growing to adult size??
