Betta fish care and tips Version 1

ATTENTION: i have made a version 2 of this video, please watch it, it is a little more detailed and informative. This video is all about how to care and how to NOT care about Bettas/Siamese Fighting Fish. I would like to thank MetalgyrlACD for her inspiration and her info. Something that i didn’t include is: Change the water with a cyphen every weeks about 1/4 of the water, feed them small abouts a few times a day that includes a good quality pellet food and frozen and freeze dried brine shrimp and bloodworms(they LOVE live food, but unless you have cultured it yourself it’s not worth the risk of an internal bacterial infection), and NEVER put 2 males together in the same tank(unless they are blocked by a divider, lol) And there water temp can be between 20-28 celcius( 26 being ideal). I hope you guys enjoy it and people dont leave hateful or nasty comments please! OO Also i should reccomend that you use a kh( carbonate hardness), gh(general hardness), ammonia, nitrite and ph test kits on your water to keep it at a pristine level for your fishie, also some good tankmates for them are definetley Corydoras catfish, and neons, although you have to be carefull with the neons, they CAN be fin nippers, although this is rare and usually only occures when the fish are stressed out and not in a school of at least 5, but it can happen. Feel free to leave any questions or queries! HAPPY 2 HELP!

After modifing this 3 gallon tank to generate a circular flow (kreisel), I raised a culture of brine shrimp in it to see how well the design worked. I was very pleased with the result. later that week, while getting dry goods from the local fish shop, I saw a bowl shaped tank with Upside Down Jellyfish polyps and ephyras. These had come in to the shop as hitch hikers. These ephyra ended up killing the sea horses housed in the bowl. I asked the owner if she would part with a few. As I hoped to raise them through their life cycle. Adult jellies (medusae) reproduce sexually resulting in larva (or planula). After a period of drifting, the planula will settle on any and evey available surface becoming a stationary polyp that can clone itself. Each polyp, resembling aptasia anemonies, will begin to bud-off a small, free swimming medsua called a ephyra. Four little ephyras came home with me that night. Six more were to follow the next day. It’s been three weeks now and all ten are with me and growing fast. The largest is now 7/8″ across the bell.

Triops pet care for beginners!?

I just got a triops kit and they seem like pretty cool creatures to keep as pets but I want to know what other creatures I can put in the same tank as a triops? I thought about fish, snails, shrimps, sea monkeys and stuff but I dont want anything thats going to get butchered by (or butcher!) my triops. Any suggestions? Also what ornamentation for a triops setup is suitable? Someone said that coconut shell is beneficial to the water. Is this true?

How do you take care of sea monkeys and what do you feed them?

Sea Monkeys?

Ah yes…those loveable Sea Monkeys…Have you ever owned them? If so, were you disappointed? How did they live in your care?
