Clown Loach Problems?

they appear fine,
i tried to feed them with the lights off, (at night)
i fed them brine shrimp, (which got ignored)
tubifex worms (ignored)
regular fish flakes (ignored)
a small slice of cucumber (ignored)

im worried that theyll get weak from not eating.
the water conditions are fine,
they loaches are fine.

though they get scared easily even when i walk inside the room XD

my other fish trust me since they dont run away when i come close to feed them
but the loaches do :(

how can i solve their not eating problem? and their behavior?
(i do have alot of hiding spaces in the tank)
(the other fish seem to eat the food first therefore im worried)

Clown Loach not eating?

i got them yesterday and all theyve been doing is hiding
i understand that theyre settling in

but theyre not eating at all
im worried that theyll starve to death
i tried brine shrimp and they completley ignore the shrimp
itried tubifex and thats also ignored
theyre colors are bright their fins and tail are clear

they look perfectly fine but they have no appetite

Clown Loaches are hard to keep?

thanks to everyone who answered my questions with an appropriate answer,
im running out of questions but still curious about this : they have “blades” under their eyes… how can anything deal with this? (tank mates plus the net when it comes to cleaning)

Things ive learned:
-like live food
-weak against ich and medications reduce amount of medicine needed by half.
-makes clicking sounds when they like something
-diet: brine shrimp, ripe bannanas, scalded lettuce, peas, blood worms, tubiflex worms
-adding heat to the tank reduces chance of diseases and reduces O2, (therefore i use a bubble stone)
-weak against dirty water (25% of water should be changed every week)
-sharp objects should be removed

some stuff that i learned
if theyres anything else missing please tell me! (and answer my question xD)

thanks!

Saltwater Automatic Feeders – Frozen Foods?

I have a clown, one firefish, one long nose hawkfish, a green mandarin, and a bicolor goby. all of them love to eat frozen mysid and brine shrimp and not much else. Of course the mandarin goes for the pods. But I am planing on being away for possibly up to two weeks. I don’t really have any options other than to get an automatic feeder for these guys, b/c I am new to the area and I don’t have anyone who could check up on them and feed them for me. Are there any options out there to have an automatic feeder to feed frozen foods? I would give them live food, but I have a 37 gal. eclipse and I am not sure how I could hook up something to that to give them a continuous supply of live food. The tank is completely covered with a hood. Could I just dump a bunch of pod and brine cysts in there to hatch while I am gone? That would ruin the water quality. Does anyone know of how I could pull a two-week vacation and still have live fish when I get back w/o having to give them unwantedfood

Would I be pushing my SW limits? (stocking question)?

I’ve had my aquarium for about 6 months now, its a 45-50g aquarium which is a FOWLR set up. The inhabitants include a pair of false clowns, a canary wrasse, scooter blenny (fat off of brine shrimp), a brown clown goby, and a green spotted puffer. Poor puffer, his growth is stunted from his previous 10g tank so he’s just a bit bigger than the female clown. I reaaaaaaally want a dwarf angelfish (cherub preferably) and want to make sure I’m not pushing the limits of my tank.

However! I do have a really wonderful skimmer (gets full after 3 days), a biowheel filter, and a homemade sump in the works for all those lovely pods and added filtration. I wish I just had $100k to dedicate to fish, however… life sucks! Doesn’t work that way. I’m pretty sure a Dwarf Angel would be fine, if I got one thats roughly 2″ max. Opinions? I’m stricken with “I WANT ALL OF THEM” sickness, I suppose!
