What is your best “Sea Monkey” tips and tricks?

I have already been to the website. I want first hand experience from those of you who know.
My son got them as a Christmas gift. They are about 2 1/2 weeks old so far.

Sea monkeys… my brother wants them for his birthday… I want to get them for him.. (see details)?

I’m not sure what their are all about… I mean come on we all know that you have to put them in water and watch them grown… but I want to know how long they live… I looked them up… but all it said was that they would reproduce and all this other stuff… So if they reproduce… do I need to buy a bigger tank… is this going to be a huge project that I should avoid. is it like fish? or what… could someone please help me for experience only. I don’t want any references to a web page. if you’ve had them or have them let me know how it was…. thanks

Experience with Oscar fry??

I have a pair of 7-8 year old Oscars. They have their second batch of successfully hatched fry (free swimming for a day now.) The first batch has one surviver that is in it’s own tank. I know that I could remove them from their parents for a bigger # to survive but as a hobbyist, I have little resources of “takers” when the fry are big enough. I need suggestions with good filtration without sucking up the babies…I have tried panty hose on the end of my bio-filter tube but that doesn’t prevent fry from getting stuck to it. I also could use good suggestions for feeding them. I use brine shrimp and have used crushed flakes. With them in a big tank..how can I ensure they are finding the food?

Am I starving my pleco? Advice from experience only, please. I’ve read everything I could find online.?

I have a pleco that looks like photos of Sailfins I have seen except he is almost entirely black.
I’ve read that they are bottom feeders, and need a variety of foods. I’ve also read that they are slow moving and usually only venture out at night.
My little (only 2″ right now) guy does NOT meet this description. He is constantly, almost frantically scraping the walls & floor, and he only stops to chew on the driftwood and eat.
Also – NOT a bottom feeder. He is as active during feeding as my Paradise fish. He eats flake, algae wafers (must have his own, or will fight for the one), bloodworms, brine shrimp. He swims freely and grabs whatever he can right out of the water.
I know I have been guilty of overfeeding… but he seems so HUNGRY! I thought these guys were supposed to wait for food to come their way. Am I doing something wrong? Is there some kind of special food I am missing?
I will be picking up cucumber as well, but if anyone has tips I could really use it.
