We really love our goldfish and want to make sure he’s as happy and healthy as he possibly can be. We’ve had him about 3 1/2 years during which time he’s at least tripled in size and is now about 4 inches long.
He’s just upgraded into a freshly cycled 60litre tank with his old substrate and ornaments. We feed him flakes once a day and some peas every now and then. Is this enough or should I try him with some of the bloodworms / brine shrimp my tropicals love?
He started out as one of three but all the others didn’t survive and he has proven to be a bit of a bully however I have read that goldfish do better with some company – should we get him a new tankmate or will this stress him out after being on this own for so long?
If anyone has any top tips I’d be grateful.
Thanks!
