baby silver arowana taking market shrimp from fingers.

My baby arowana having a catch from my finger tips. silver arowana – 3 1/2″ long. i usually feed him a mixture of hikari bloodworms, brine shrimp and one pellet. so, i guess he wasnt use to having such a large item. if you want to conduct this, make sure YOU wash the item with pure water to wash out most of the chlorine and such.

They are eating brine shrimp. I don’t think Fry can catch the damsel, but he is sure gonna try. He just ate a molly that was half his size!

Feeding fish frozen food?

I have always given my fish a variety and recently tried frozen (about a month ago). The kind I have is a ‘Freshwater Variety Pack’ which contains bloodworms, baby brine shrimp, krill, and spiranela. The fish I have in my tank are: angelfish, clown loach, pristilla tetras, rams, hatchetfish. I believe the angelfish is eating the frozen food, but I don’t see any of my other ones eating. This is my fourth attempt (at first I thought that may just need to get used to it.) I believe I am following feeding instructions correctly: Take frozen cube and place in a cup with tank water – I wait about 10 minutes, stir it up, break it up with my fingers and pour it in. I have been hearing a lot of great things about the frozen food but mine don’t seem to eat it. They love the freeze dried blood worms, tubifix worms, brine shrimp, etc. I’m just trying to give my fish the healthiest diet possible and want to add frozen once a week. Any suggestions? Thank you

I have baby platys, now what?

I have them in a breeding net. I have 10 of them. I am taking flaked food and dried brine shrimp and crumbling between my fingers.
How long will should they stay in the net, and when I do release them should I get some floating platic grass just in case?
I have a peacefull tank wiht various tetras and platys. I also have endlers which are very very tiny and have not been devoured by other fish.

Can I feed my platy fry freeze dried brime shrimp?

I live outside of North America, and where I’m living right now I don’t have easy access to baby brine shrimp. I bought the Hikari brand freeze-dried brine shrimp though, and I squish it between my fingers so that they’re powdery and I feed them to my platy fry. Is that good enough, or do I still need to feed live foods? I also feed them TetraMin baby. My fry are a week old and have grown visibly, but I don’t know if they’re on target or not.
