My oscar fish won’t close his mouth,. What do I do?

He hasn’t been able to close his mouth for almost two weeks and he is getting very skinny compared to my other one. I pulled him out of the water and tried to see if there was something stuck in his mouth and I am not able to find anything. I was physically able to push his mouth shut but it just comes back open. He desperately tries to eat, but he just can’t keep any of his food down. I am wondering if I can take him out of the water once or twice daily and feed him with a syringe or something? I hope not forever but until he gets control of his mouth again? I don’t know what else to do. I have tried flake food, pellets and brine shrimp but nothing seems to g down very well.

Bettas???Will Pick best answer always do?

I am breeding my betta and i introdulced her to his tank today using a floating breeder without the little V thing in it as i was advised to do By my LFS owner and everythings goin well i think.There both flaring at eachother.And she has her white spot that looks sorta like a pimple but hes not making a bubble nest.I Have a heater in it no filtration as it may dirupt the bubble nest. and a half cup for the guidleline for him to make the nest but still no nest..Does he make it then i introduce her???I know many of you will advise against breeding bettas but i am prepared have gotten together 300 plastic cups.have a 55 gallon growout tank am hatching Brine shrimp and have Frozen bloodworms as well as a variety of flake food.Can you tell me why no bubble nest thanks a billion:)

Using Brine Shrimp To Feed Guppy,Platy,Tetra with flake food?

hi,
(guppy, tetra, snails, platy, shrimp (larger))
how do you use brine shrimp as a food
> can you breed them at home for a constant supply
> how do you purchase them, pet store?, are they bought from a tank?
> how many would i need for a 60l tank diet (mixed with flake food, to help vary the diets of the fish)

thanks for help

im mainly interested in using live food to help the fish have a better diet and overall be healthier, and have been recommended to use brine shrimp, but unsure how to do so.

Making fish fat?

I have tropical fish, I would like for them to grow bigger! I have had them for over a year and they aren’t growing. I feed them everyother day with flake food. I sometimes mix it up with frozen brine shrimp. I have about 11 fish in a 55 gal tank, there is plenty of room for them to grow!
I have:
4- tiger barbs
1- biker eel
1-very small red tail shark
1- Gromie
1- cat fish
2- tin foil barbs

Is this a good goldfish diet?

Goldfish flake food and goldfish pond food (rotating one day ; two days)
Frozen blood worms and frozen brine shrimp once a week.
Its for 3 4-6″ gold fish (two sarassa and one shubinkin) They are in an aquarium not a pond.

I tried oranges but they just completely ignored them, I tried floating them and I tried with a clip, no luck.
Took me a little while for them to eat pond food. They ignored it for a couple days ( I put some flakes to get them to the top and mostly pellets) They didn’t go for it. lol
No its a blue-gray with a white underbelly and some dark gold (brown-gold) patches
