Why aren’t my sea monkeys growing?Where are they? Are they dead?

I bought them from wal-mart and brought them home.I put the purifier in but I just couldn’t wait 24 hours so put half of the eggs in that same day.the next day when I got home the sea monkeys had hatched so I put hte rest of the eggs in.6 days later i put the food in.some of the monkeys weren’t even moving.A couple of days later i didn’t see any monkeys.I thought the algae were the monkeys until i looked on the internet and saw what they looked like. There is nothing in my tank but green goowy stuff at the bottom. When i filled the tank up the first time i used bottled water but when the water level droped i used faucet water. But that was after the monkeys disappeared.Whats going on?

sea monkeys as live food?

Is it ok to feed neon tetras, black widow tetras and dwarf gourami sea monkeys?. Or should i use other live food that i can breed.

Sea monkeys – harmless fun or animal cruelty?

Most people will have come across sea monkeys, they’re little shrimp that are sold as toys or rather ‘starter pets’ for children. For less than £10 you can buy a small plastic tank, ‘food’ and sea monkey eggs, held in suspended animation, as it were, and you just add water to bring them to life.

Now i’ve always though this was pretty cool, and was just thinking of getting some today (they go well with the student lifestyle, cheap to buy and feed, don’t live long, small and non-offensive etc) when I stumbled accross an article saying they were a form of animal cruelty, kept in tanks far too small, no-where near their natural environment and they’re treated as a game, kids and parents alike not caring if they die, because they’re cheap and ‘toy-like’ in packaging.

Immediately afterwards I found this site http://www.langleystoys.com/acatalog/Sea_Monkeys.html?gclid=CMvhpKC1g5ICFQGIMAodIl2_3A which even has a tiny tank that can be worn on the wrist!

What do you think?

i am interested in getting a capuchin monkey and i cant seem to find any info. is there anyone who can help?

i need to know if they are good with kid and other animals. also what kind of food they eat and is it hard to keep them healthy. should i get one from the u.s. or over seas? maybe someone out there owns one or knows someone who does who can help. it would be greatly appreciated. thank you in advance.

Can I cultivate Algae from sea monkey food?

My sea monkeys died and I don’t want to get any more for a while, I want to cultivate the algae in the food (for no reason, just curiosity) I have the whole packet of algae in the water under a florescent bulb with a bubbler in there… I have the tiny tank tool and a peice of stocking in there to begin the culture, will it grow???
Thanks, I don’t know if the algae will grow because I used a little bit of miracle grow in the water I used to add to the tank (after the monkeys died, they died from low temps) Right now I think the algae cultures haw enough air, because they are in a 20 ounce bottle with a 5 gallon aquarium air pump, I am concerned about light, though, The water is really dark, but I have it right under the light…. I don’t know why I am growing it, I can’t put any animals in it to eat the algae, since they are growing in a small amount of miracle grow.
