Storage of Thawed Frozen Brine Shrimp?

I’ve had to downsize my betta collection recently due to a move into a tiny apartment: in other words, I went from an active betta breeder (i.e 50+ fish at any given time) to a betta hobbyist (i.e about 10 fish at any given time). Now, in the past, I’ve always enjoyed feeding my fish frozen foods (thawed of course)…but given the number of fish I had left-overs were not much of a concern.

In short–
When dealing with previously frozen (thawed) brine shrimp (or any other frozen food) is there a safe way to store the leftovers for later use?

I currently have the extra in a tub of water in my fridge, and I plan on keeping them for about a week–does this sound “safe”?

Fish feeding question..?

I have always just fed my fish tropical flakes and was thinking of getting some other forms of food? Like frozen beefheart or brine shrimp. I can’t do bloodworms because i’m allergic to them(stupidest thing ever to be allergic to). How does one go about feeding frozen foods like beefheart if I buy it frozen in cubes? Any other suggestions or alternatives I can try? i’ve tried some vegetables but had no luck..the fish didn’t even look at them.
i’m feeding paradise fish
pearl gouramis
and blackskirt, silvertip, and pristella tetras

What frozen foods do you reccomend feeding a VERY picky Betta??

I have a betta fish in a 2.5 gallon tank w/ a few guppies. I got him about 5 days ago, and he won’t touch betta biogold. I have heard that frozen brine shrimp are good, but are some options if that doesn’t work out? P.S. I took him out of the the tank with the guppies and into his own smaller tank temporarily…

Betta fish question?

I feed my betta twice a day. Freeze-dried bloodworms for breakfast. Thawed frozen foods Bloodworms or Brine Shrimp for dinner. I don’t feed him flakes because he has trouble eating them.

I know the betta pellets are the ideal food for them, since it gives them all the nutrients they need. In fact my sister’s betta died recently after living 7 and a half years – which above the average life expectancy! And all she was feeding him was betta pellets. But my betta simply can’t eat them because they are too hard for him to chew…he developed the habbit of not even touching the pellets.

Anyway, is the current diet enough nutrients for my betta? He seems healthy and active, but I want him to be super-healthy to break my sister’s record.

Saltwater Automatic Feeders – Frozen Foods?

I have a clown, one firefish, one long nose hawkfish, a green mandarin, and a bicolor goby. all of them love to eat frozen mysid and brine shrimp and not much else. Of course the mandarin goes for the pods. But I am planing on being away for possibly up to two weeks. I don’t really have any options other than to get an automatic feeder for these guys, b/c I am new to the area and I don’t have anyone who could check up on them and feed them for me. Are there any options out there to have an automatic feeder to feed frozen foods? I would give them live food, but I have a 37 gal. eclipse and I am not sure how I could hook up something to that to give them a continuous supply of live food. The tank is completely covered with a hood. Could I just dump a bunch of pod and brine cysts in there to hatch while I am gone? That would ruin the water quality. Does anyone know of how I could pull a two-week vacation and still have live fish when I get back w/o having to give them unwantedfood
