Does an ocellus provide any directional information for an organism?

An Ocellus is a simple eye in many invertebrates. Everywhere I research, it says that these eyes provide no information about the direction light is coming from. But I’ve tested this with larval brine shrimp (which supposedly only have ocelli) and they do seem to be able to orient themselves towards the light!

Betta fish fry food?

im collecting all the information i need on breeding bettas. I havent begun the process yet because i want to be sure i know everything i possibly can.

After the eggs hatch and the fry have finished with the yolk sac, can i feed the fry infusoria? until they are ready for baby brine shrimp? and after they are outgrown from the shrimp, what live food/frozen food should i give to them that produces the best growth?

What are these things called?

They are sea-monkey like in that they grow in water. They are called “Pearls of China” in some countries. You can find a picture and more information here–

I can’t find anything on Google about them. Sorry.
If they are “Water Babies” can I have a link to something similar online? I can’t find anything when I google them either.
