I wrote two letters with the same contents to the kid I sponsor.

One is written in my mother tongue and the other in English.
There are volunteers who translate letters, but they are not also professionals, so I did it by myself.
Would you check it?

I wonder who wrote the letter in English. It doesn’t seem to be written by an adult. Did you write it or ask someone to do it instead?

I got the report about your health. According to it, you are 111cm tall and 18kg. Is it right? I am a little worried if you regularly have a meal. Studying is good, but health is essential for your dream come true. Don’t skip your meal.

What is your favorite food?
I like “Kimchi” which is the seasoning cabbage. It is the representative food of Korea. It might taste a little hot to you.
Do you like fish? I like seafood such as shrimp. I also love Indian food like curry, tanduri chicken and nan (thin bread). But Indian food is very expensive in my country, so I eat it only on a special day. I’ve heard that Nepal food is similar to Indian and Chinese food. I like Chinese food, too.

Your painting is really great. My husband was moved at your letter decorated with your painting. In fact, I was unhappy with some troubles, and then I got your letter, so I became happy. You gave me a big gift. Thank you.

Answering to your question in your letter, I used to write about the movies and entertainment industry because I worked for the movie magazine company. After quitting it, I usually write fairy tales for my niece who is at your age. I want to publish them in the future, but I am not sure if it is possible. Writing novels has been my hobby since I was 8 years old. My niece also likes writing, so she wrote the fairy tale about the friendship between a girl and a magical horse which can fly. She made it into a book. I don’t have the book, but I have the copy of it. If you can read English, I’ll send it to you.

By the way, there seems to be some misunderstanding. ^_^ (This is a smile mark.)
I didn’t do three jobs at the same time – a teacher, nurse and journalist.
After college graduation, I worked as a journalist for one year, and I went back to the school to major nursing to immigrate to the U.S. because nurses are easier to get a job and settle in the U.S. comparing to the other people.
However, the plan was changed with some reasons, so I am still in Korea. I don’t think that I’ll move to the U.S. in the near future.
I worked as a nurse for a while, and after quitting it, I taught students also for a while.

The summer of Korea is also hot. I guess it is hotter than in Nepal. The daytime high is about 32-35 degrees and the humidity is 75-85%. Yes, it is suffocating heat.

Oh, may I ask you something? How many students are there in your classroom? Who is your best friend? Friendship is one of the best things you can have in school.
Is your favorite subject math? I also liked math when I was a student. Math is beautiful even though some students hate it. ^_^

I read that your dream is to be a soldier. May I ask why you want it?
I’ve heard that a soldier is the most popular job in Nepal, but I think you have your own reason.
