is my knife fish eating my neon tetras?

I have an african brown knife fish in my aquarium, along with a few catfish and some neon and other types of tetras. I have been feeding everything some blood worms and brine shrimp, the frozen kind, and all the fish seem to be eating and enjoying the food. but still i have noticed that every morning I am 1 tetras short of the previous number i had.

Just out of curiosity, what organisms can be added that dont contribute much to the bioload?

I’ve heard ghost and brine shrimp and neon tetras so far.
To an aquarium, I mean.
I’m asking this question because I’ve seen it so many times that people say that bottom feeders, shrimp, etc don’t add much to the bioload because they eat the food that is going to rot on the bottom anyway. Since they still produce ammonia, they do add, but less because they also perform a cleaning job.

I don’t mean plants when I said organisms.

Too much ammonia in fish tank?

I have a 30 gallon freshwater aquarium. It has two zebra fish, a silver dollar fish, a sunburst, two neon tetras, a guppy, a frog, a scissors tail and a cory cat in it. I do a partial water change almost every 10 days. I have had it set up for about a month now. I test almost every day for ph, nitrate, and ammonia levels. The ph and nitrate levels are great. The ammonia levels are always high though. I have four ammonia bags in the tank (to help control the ammonia). I feed the fish twice a day fish flakes. There is never any left after 5 minutes of feeding. I also give them a treat once a week of freeze dried brine shrimp cube. Why do you think the ammonia is always high? I have tried ammonia lock to help control the ammonia, but it doesn’t seem to be helping. I have two filters in the tank and both hang on the back. What do you think could be causing the ammonia problem? I also add aquaium salt with every partial water change. Any suggestions?

would 5 neon tetras and 2 african dwarf frogs fit into a 5 gallon tank together?

also i recently got another dwarf frog (so that makes the 2) and after he was in the tank for a while i noticed a white little thread of something. is it the fungus or just some skin they shed? im putting the frozen brine shrimp in with fish flakes for them to eat .would that be ok. and after i added 3 more tetras and another african dwarf frog the tank has gotten much dirtier faster even w/ the filter what can i do.now i have 5 tetras and 2 dwarf frogs but should i get another tank or get rid of some. and lastly what if the frogs mate and how can i stop them?
and i’ve looked up info on them but could anybody give me some websites or good info?
ok yesterday one of the neon tetras got caught in a plant and died. so now would it be fine?
ok most of you were right. another fish died so now i have 3 tetras and 2 frogs but that should be fine. i cleaned out the tank and put in a new filter cartridge but the 2 that died were the new ones and maybe they were sick. Anyway they’re all healthy looking and have been fine. Please give a response and maybe a website i could visit to get more info.
