I was going to have 6 glo lite tetras, 6 harlequin rasboras, 6 cardinal tetras, and 2 otos in my 30 gallon tank. I was also going to have 3 red cherry shrimp. Then I was thinking about having either a female betta or a dwarf gourami. Which one do you think would do best? There are plenty of hiding spots, the pH is 7.1, and I will feed them TetraMin tropical flakes everyday, Hikari bloodworms twice a week, and Hikari brine shrimp once a week.
What do you think?

i put prepared cucumber in my tank for my otos. they are new to the tank and didnt want them to get too stressed so added veggies for them, but instead of them eating the cucmber, my gourami is…. is this normal, i dont have zucchini to feed my otos at the moment, and was told to wait a couple of weeks before feeding them algae waffers, but there is pratially no algae in the tank… but there are live plants.. how can i feed the otos and keep both fish happy? i have been feeding my gourami fish flakes and brine shrimp. i dont understand why its eating the otos’ food. i dont want the otos to starve. Help me!!!

I’ve had my cory for 6 months now, very healthy and cheerful, no problems getting along with my female betta and 2 otos. However, I just noticed yesterday that one of his whiskers is now missing. I specifically bought rounded, smooth gravel for the tank to avoid this but it looks like it happened anyway. 
He seems to be eating okay still, likes to find bloodworms, brine shrimp and flake food that my betta doesn’t grab and loves munching on algae wafers.
My question is: will the whisker grow back? Is there anything I can do to help it grow?
