I have two beta fish. The male one eats the pellets just fine, but the female won’t eat the pellets. From what I understand, beta’s are known to be picky fish, and I finally found things she’ll eat; lunchmeat ham and bologna. I give her a tiny piece the size of the pellet, and it was going fine. The problem is, she’s becoming really fat, and it’s probably from that. I want to know if I should continue feeding it to her? If so, should I feed her less? Like every other day? Or just one piece a day or something? I don’t really have instant transportation to a pet store right now, nor will I for a while most likely. Is there anything betas are known to really enjoy that won’t jepordize her health?
However, I could buy brine shrimp flakes, but I don’t know how popular those are with betas. Any opinions or personal experiences would help a lot. Thanks.
I’ve tried tropical flakes, and neither of them like those. She goes crazy for meat… she loves it. The other one likes it too, I give him a piece here and there.
