Do you like Red Monkeys?

You might be asking yourself what the heck is a Red Monkey?

Well a red monkey is an idea, an innovative idea. And the monkey found its origin not in the center of the jungle, but at the edge.

A daring brown monkey ventured to the edge of the jungle, to the sea, where he encountered an bold red fish. The two had an lengthy discussion, and out of their conversation a Red Monkey was born?

You can watch the first episode of the Red Monkey Story on youtube at http://youtube.com/watch?v=s5eEH4O74eQ

The question now is… Do YOU like Red Monkeys? Or do you shoot them on sight?

Does my father-in-law have an obligation to host dinner outside of the Red Monkey Butt Room?

First off, Red Monkey Butt Room isn’t the official name of the room, it’s what I call it. Why? Because my father in law collects freakin baboon statuettes. But not just your regular ol baboon statuettes. He gets ones where the baboons are in compromising positions. Through the years, his undeniable passion for the sculptured stillness of the bending over monkey has resulted in a room with a dizzying sea of red butts. As if that weren’t bad enough, he hosts all his dinner parties in there! He even has candlesticks where the red monkey butt holds a candle shaped like a monkey sticking his butt up in the air. Just the thought of all those monkey butts makes me red! And my wife, God bless her, doesn’t see the big deal. She always says, “So what? You like eagles.” And she’s right, I do like eagles. That’s why I have ONE eagle blanket. Not a dinner room filled with red monkey butts!!! We’re supposed to go over there soon. I don’t mind he has them. But shouldn’t dinner be held somewhere else?

My baby Red Eared Slider won’t eat!?

I got him last week. I feed him food sticks for carnivorous fishes. I also tried flakes dried brine shrimps from my betta food. I don’t think he will eat turtle food either because I saw it and it looks exactly like the food sticks I feed him. All he does is hide under the bridge thing. I keep him at room temperature.
I sometimes have a lamp on him when I think it is too cold but it doesn’t make a difference because he hides from it anyway. And I really don’t prefer to buy live food.

new neons not as bright as old ones…?

I had 2 neons in my tank, and I just added 4 more. I can very easily pick out my old neons because the red part on the back them is bright red, where as the ones I just got are pink. When I was in the store I didn’t notice how light their red part was until I put them next to my 2. Is the color diffence because of food? I feed my fish different food depending on how I feel that day. They get frozen bloodworms and brine shrimp. Hikari freeze dried bloodworms and micro pellets, and xtreme aquatic foods community crumbles. I know that fish fade in color when they are sick/dying… but i’m hoping it’s just the food and they’ll perk up?

and as a side note, I have an otto and a julii cory. I bought algae wafers for them to pick on, but is there anything else they might like?
I dont know if it makes any difference but their blue strip is at full charge. It’s only their body color that is dim…

and any suggestions for snacks for my other guys?

What should I feed my new born Red Wag Platy fish?

I have given them flake fish food ground up real good, and some brine shrimp. Is there other stuff that is good for their diet at this age ( 1 week old )
