HI!
I’ve had my sea monkeys now for about a month and a half. I was lucky enough to get tons of them my 1st time around. For the past week and a half now they reach adulthood and slowly..one by one are dying off.
Sometimes they have a black spot on their little chest and or their little legs turn black. It’s very strange cause I’m 24 and very good about following the care instructions.
I keep them in the sunlight a lot.. could too much sun kill them?
Also, I believe I’ve seen what to be termite poop in the water (ewe) ..tiny little brown balls that float.. I get most of them out with a cue tip. I’m thinking that they might be eating them when they get bigger and that it gets stuck in their little mouths.. not sure.
Sometimes when I get home… tiny brown ants and sometimes the black ones infiltrate their habitat for water..and are found floating. Could the acid from the ant’s bellies be leaking into the water causing problems?
I still have quite a few left (sea-monkeys) 20 or so and would like to prevent them from dying. Money’s been tight so I’ve been unable to purchase the extra supplies for them. I made an air bubbler for them out of a baby nose sucker with a small hole at the top so it won’t suck the little ones up it. I hope that there is some sort of remedy that I can do for them to help them out. Any advice would be much help. Thanks for your help…
Sincerely,
Camie
