I have two Ghost Catfish, one looks sick but acts healthy and the other looks healthy and acts sick, what I do?

They were in a 5 gallon tank with an algae eater, I left the one that was acting sick in the 5 gallon tank and moved the one that was acting healthy into a 10 gallon tank along with the algae eater. The sick acting one sometimes lays on the bottom of the tank barely moving but a while later will swim around like he is healthy. His scales and fins all look healthy with no signs of anything being wrong. The other fish, acts healthy and is always swimming, however he has lost his whiskers, and his fins look like he’s been in a fight. I feed them both freeze dried brine shrimp. Does anyone have a possible explanation or know of anything I could do for them.

Brine Shrimp Not Hatching?

i recently purchased brine shrimp eggs from my local pet shop (PetCity) the Red Jungle Brand and attempted to hatch them in Dechlorinated water and Red Sea Salt mixture its been approx 34hours but i see no signs of hatching when i turn off the air all the eggs just sink to the bottem but none have hatched they are at 28oC Celsius why arnt they hatching? i know its possible that petshops keep them in stock for too long but are their any other possible reasons their is a lamp near their tank aswell
ty john some futher questions as for bleach i haf found Riviera Lemon Bleach Premium Grade my dude uses for washing some cloths says Active Ingredient :sodium Hypochlortie Contains no more than 3.7% when packed and how many liters in a oz? im in australia brisbane :s

Early signs for betta fin rot? [pics]?

I purchased my betta last week from a local pet store and also a nice square half gallon tank, (small I know but I live in a dorm lacking space) He seems to like it anyway.. His name is Narong, derived from the siamese language meaning “to make war” lol

He hasnt eaten hardly at all since I brought him to the dorm, but I think it may be an issue of the room temp water. I have just recently purchased a small heater and two kinds of foods (brine shrimp, and bloodworms) but they will be arriving in 3-5 days. Hopefully this will help him start eating…

But my real question is does he show early signs for fin rot? I have been noticing small black dots on the ends of his fin extensions and some back fin damage that was there when I first brought him home. Take a look for yourself.

my kole tang will not eat? why and what should I do?

The vet says the diet of brine shrimp,formula A,Silver Sliders,red seaweed,sea algea, and omega one flakes is perfect. we got him last saturday and his stomach is sunk in, we afraid he is going to die. We have 6 damsle, 3 clownfish, yellow tang, coral beauty angel, and him? PLEASE HELP. we do not want him to die he is still very lively, but the signs of not eating are starting to show. we started the tank in december so I am pretty new to the whole process and should I just let it play out or act?
