My pet Sea Monkeys need to be freed. But where?

We bought this sea monkey kit where you can raise and grow a sea monkey family. Well, a lot of them are multiplying right now [if you know what I mean] and my mom and I were thinking of setting them free.
Problem is, I live in Nevada, and we only have a lake here, not an ocean.

Would the lake be nessacary for them? Or would they not survive?
We live 5-10 hours away from the ocean.
And I want them to be happy too…

What are “sea monkeys” and why do they never look like they do in the pictures?

I have sent many times for the “sea monkeys” that are advertised in the comic books. According to the illustration, they appear to be part human, part fish. They even built their own houses and play guitars as well as many things that one would not expect from an aquatic animal. Nevertheless, whenever I received them and followed the instructions, they hatched into a rather primitive looking creatures that looked nothing like the illustrations, and appeared much too stupid to build a house of any kind. Thinking that they might need company, I dumped them into my fish tank at which time they were immediately eaten by the fish. I thought that if some of the sea monkeys played their guitars, that the music would placate the fish. Well I never even saw a little guitar before they were devoured by my angel fish. Now I feel terribly guilty due to my error. Can anyone tell me what I did wrong and what I can do to prevent similar tragidies in the future

want to give my betta some variety in food to avoid constipation, how should I do this?

I went to the pet store today thinking of getting my betta Omega One Beta food they had dried blood worms, and dried brine shrimp. Right now I’m feeding him betta bites (HBH brand) and I thought it would prevent him from constipation and maybe keep him healthy to change his food around.

Is this necessary?

If I do buy the food, which one’s better? Bloodworms or brine shrimps?

How should I feed it to him? like 1 pallet of betta bite, 2 bloodworms…or just bloodworms today and pallets tomorrow?

Long question I know…just want the best for my fish~

Thx~
