These fish are highly carnivorous. Their diet should consist of brine shrimp, tubifex worms, and mollusks. Quality flakes and pellets will be accepted but meaty foods should be the main diet.Origin Africa; they are found in the Congo River Basins. Sexing Sexing can be difficult. The only visible difference is the short spines that are present on the gill covers of the males. There are none present on the females. Breeding A large, well planted tank should be used for breeding. As these fish are bubble nest builders, the addition of floating plants will help them. The water should be soft and acidic with a reduced water flow. Once the fish have spawned, they should be moved to another tank. The fry can be fed on Infusoria initially; as they grow their diet can consist of newly hatched brine shrimp. Lifespan The expected life span for this fish is 5-8 years. Short description Plenty of hiding places in the tank will put these fish at ease. In the wild they hunt their prey, bending their caudal fin to resemble a leaf. These are nocturnal fish so they may hide away in the day time.

My Sea Monkeys spend all of their time swimming downwards to the bottom of the bowl?
A few of them swim around the tank but most look like they’re headbutting the bottom of the container. Theres a lot of green stuff building up at the bottom too. Is something wrong with them?

How long do i let my sea monkey water sit in the tank? (there aren’t any sea monkeys growing)?
I got a sea monkey tank two years ago. When I added the water to the tank for the first time, the little critters grew. Then they died. I let my tank evaporate, then I added water again. Again they grew and died. Now this is my third attempt in growing them. So far they haven’t even hatched! I let them sit in the same window sill like the other sea monkeys, but no luck. I’m guessing there aren’t any more sea monkey eggs in the tak or should i wait? (I ‘ve been letting my third attempt monkeys sit on the window sill for a week now)
