My fairy shrimp hatched yesterday!

Can I feed my Tiger Salamanders brine shrimp cubes? What do you recommend?

Not including worms. Maybe pellets?

Picked up my figure eight today…was watching some videos of them……….?

on You Tube . In these videos – I saw a puffer being hand fed a shrimp (like shrimp cocktail that we would eat). It made me curious and I thought I may try that out sometime – I love shrimp myself, so we could ‘share’ a plate. Anyone tried that or what other foods (that you can buy in a grocery store) can they eat: so far I plan to try frozen krill, frozen bloodworms, shrimp pellets, live snails, freeze dried brine shrimp and freeze dried tubifex worms. Any other suggestions? Also, when feeding frozen food to them, is it best to thaw first, like you normally would or drop in frozen so they can ‘tear at it’. Thanks for the help.

I have been setting up my tank for the past 2 months – and finally today I picked up my puffer (had to special order).

what LIVE food can I feed my fish?

I have a few patys, a dwarf gourami, 2 peppered corys, and a sucker fish. What LIVE FOOD can I feed them? i was thinking brine shrimp!?! are they to small for my fish? baby or adult brine shrimp? does it make a difference? anything else i could give them? I dont want any big worms or anything like that. Thanks

cycling question….or-uncycling….?

alo everyone. yesterday i went to petsmart to get an aquaclear filter and i also bought bloodworms (frozen) since the dwarf puffers werent eating their brine shrimp. now i got home and they LOVED the worms. but the problem is, today, the power went out. so the filter didnt work, obviously, and the fish were swimming near the top of the sides. now, i hear that means they are bored, but they never did that until today; it think they were looking for oxygen. so i bouught a battery opperated air pump: good. so i went to feed them their worms, and i dropped like a hundred in there! =/ i got as most as i could out, but an hour later, they were still munching on them. ughh, so yeah, i’m figuring theyll die. but my question is, the guy at the fish store said to do a water change. if i do this, will that uncycle the tank? because onnce im done doing that, and the water is good again (not dirty with shrimp and worm remains) i want to get more dwarfs, but will i have to recycle it again or not???
