I have Brine Shrimp that I am raising right now. I know they can eat algae, yeast( like the kind you can purchase in packets), but what else can they eat?

This is day 2 of my 5 gallon brine shrimp tank escapade. I’d like to grow adult brine shrimp if possible to feed my tropical fish as well as to save on buying them. The only live feed for my fish are sold at a fish store 50 miles away. So instead of feeding them frozen shrimp, I thought I’d try my luck at growing them for live feedings. These baby brine eggs are the San Francisco 90% hatch rate type. I hatched them within 24 hours in a circular beta bowl with a airstone and light. They were constantly circulated in the bowl due to it’s shape so this was a very easy method. After they hatched I syringed them into my 5 gallon tank which I had already setup the day before and waiting for the salt to acclimate. I didn’t test it with a hydrometer or test strips. I simply followed some instructions out of a book which called for 3 1/4 cups of salt for 5 gallon tank, a slow and large bubble air bubbler and a heater. So far I fed them sprinkles of crushed (fine) algae wafers and also some active-dry yeast.

I am putting yeast in my tank as food for my brine shrimp and I have 2 questions:
1. Does yeast need to be fed? If so, what?
2. Does salt kill yeast? I have a lot of salt in my tank, about 25g per litre.
